Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed with regards to the superior quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the more info area on a regular basis. The support level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
